Auto Cad for Mac update!
We all heard about it a while ago the AutoCAD, a program for designing 3D models and viewing schematics, would be coming back to the Mac. We also saw the release of AutoCAD WS for IOS.
AutoDesk today announced that its AutoCAD for Mac 2D and 3D design software is now available with a 30-day free trial for all users, which can be found here.
For over 20 years AutoDesk, the company behind AutoCAD, only developed for windows machines, and chose not to develop for the low selling Mac line of computers. Now that Apples computer sales are back up, and higher than ever it appears they chose to begin developing again. This is good news for Apple as they can now begin to sell to a sub-business market that relies on the powerful (and expensive) software.
Now that a software developer as renowned as AutoDesk is again making OS X compatible software, will we begin to see other programs ported over? Will this increase the overall sales of Apple computers? Who knows but in the coming months we will surly find out.
(Off topic and easily edited out) As a side note, let me say Im glad that the TiPB staff again opened up the section formally known as TiPBs Next Top Blogger. I found that I enjoyed, instead of passive aggressively reading the latest Apple new, hunting it down and then try to convey it to an audience. There is so much more insight into the news when you have to check multiple sources and find a picture to go with it that conveys the meaning of your article.
