I damaged my ipad2′s screen a few days ago. I read a lot of stuff online about Apple replacing the screen etc and sometimes doing it free.
I went along to the Apple store today. They took one look and said you’ll need the entire unit repl aced. That will be £279 please.
Is this correct? Could they not replace the screen only.
The genius bar guy said it was a sealed unit etc and nothing could be done.
