eww more apple crap. Apple was bad enough, then they partnered with AT&T. Now they are total crap. My advice? Get an Amazon Kindle

LikeDislikelove the iPhone, but they have issues with sticking to one model, dont buy right away if you want it (in all honesty looks too awkward and unconventional). They will upgrade probably 6 months after its release, and this is exactly why i never by Mac computers…. to upgrade the 3grand u just spend you have to trash it and get a new one, no addons, its trash….

LikeDislikeHere are my thoughts on the Apple iPad, “Why I Love it and Why I Would Never Buy One”
Feel free to comment at the bottom of the article if you disagree, agree or wish to express your opinion on the Apple iPad.

LikeDislikeI am definitely going to get one. I like iBook and iWork features and I also love that it can be connected to digital camera directly and import pictures.I am sure it will have some breathtaking photo editing apps.
My only concern is how would i save the document that I create on iPad and how will i be able to download the email attachment. But I am sure these things must have been taken care of.
There are disappointment because of the hype created by rumors. I remember when in 2007 iPhone was launched, it lacked very common feature like video camera, MMS, copy/paste and atleast a 3 MP camera. But regardless, it sold incredibly well because whatever it did, did amazingly.
Apple is not liked for its feature its admired for its ease of use and thats why Apple is loved only by people who use its products. People who don’t use never like Apple because their mind cant see beyond features they cant think of performance.
Many people just see the commercial that iPhone cant do multi tasking and then start bragging about it but the fact is iPhone does multi tasking to a very large extent. For example you can listen to FLYCAST radio and creat a word document at the same time. You can run Voice Recording with other apps. You can run iPod with many other apps.
If you are chatting on Ping and get a message on Yahoo Messenger, you are immediately notified. Push notification is way better than running many apps at the same time. If you are FaceBook and an important news breaks, you are notified.
I am sure even with not so good initial response, iPad will rock just like iPhone did.

LikeDislikeI’m not really interested in one. If I get any apple device in the near future it will probably be an iTouch or iPhone. Though if they come out with a good textbook software I may get one for my husband who will be going back to school soon.
You not being a reader is why you don’t see the kindle’s advantage. They’re totally different markets. Reading for hours on a backlit screen can cause horrible headaches. And to read you don’t need 1000 different apps demanding your attention or really anything beyond what the kindle offers. The Kindle is a niche market for very heavy readers, but in that market it will continue to reign. The mistake that the media (and everyone else) seemed to make recently in my opinion was in thinking the kindle was (or should be) a mainstream device.

LikeDislikeNo. The iPad:
-It doesn’t have an SD card slot or USB slot. You want to load all your photos on it? You need to buy a special dongle and attach it to the iPad. Ah yes, that’s convenient and cost-effective.
-You need to lay it flat and look straight down at it to type on it. It’s not like a netbook or laptop where the keyboard is flat and the screen is in front of your face.
-You can buy a keyboard accessory — you can spend extra money to turn a low-power netbook-type tablet into a non-portable desktop computer. Meanwhile there are products like Lenovo U1 Hybrid where you can slip the tablet into a netbook shell and turn it into a portable, foldable laptop.
-Apple wants to say it will be great for reading books and magazines, but it has a bright, glossy LCD screen. Meanwhile, electronic book reader devices use an electronic ink technology that doesn’t strain the eyes and can be used in the sun.
-You cannot multitask. You can only do one task at a time. If you want to surf the web and type into a document, you can’t. You need to exit one and then open the other.
-No flash support. Enjoy the web without much of its content!
-It costs $500, minimum, and has a 1 ghz processor. You’re paying $500 for something that has about the same capabilities as an iPod Touch, but is huge.
Products with similar specs and abilities as the iPad cost less than that. If you want the model with enough disk space and 3G to make it worth your while, it’s $800.
My netbook has a 1.6 ghz Atom processor and cost me $200. And my netbook has an SD slot so I can make the hard drive space as large as I want. And my netbook has USB ports. And I can do multiple tasks on my netbook. Fact is, tablets have been around forever and the mainstream market didn’t want them.
Just because they’ve slapped an Apple logo on it, should people suddenly want it?

LikeDislikeIt is interesting i guess, although it would be a lot better if it had a full OS, like a modified version of snow leopard. But there are other devices that do the same and more such as the Archos 9 and the Viliv X70 both of which run full versions of windows-the Archos, windows 7, the Viliv, XP. But for something that is easier to use and easier on the eyes, i would definitely get the Ipad.

LikeDislikeNo way. Its a ipod touch only bigger and heavier, it has no flash player, no camera, no USB ports, you cant multi-task, and much more. Its really not worth the $500.

LikeDislikeNo. The iPad is just a giant iPod Touch. The iPad use back-lit LCD which hurts your eye, while the Kindle uses e-paper.
