So what’s an iPad?
iPad is a touch-screen tablet computer and media player from Apple. It’s not easy to exactly define what an iPad is but it’s a cross between a laptop and an iPhone.  All iPad models support WiFi connections to local wireless networks. Several models will be sold and they come with different storage capacity, some of which support wireless Internet access over “3G” cell phone networks.

Does the iPad come with speakers, microphone and keyboard?
Yes, yes and no. The iPad have built in speakers and a microphone but no keyboard, the iPad uses a touch-screen instead of a physical keyboard. However you can get a keyboard as an bluetooth device accessory.

How many music tracks/videos can an iPad hold?
iPads have 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage. Some of the iPad’s storage is used for its operating system, so not all of this space is available for music tunes and videos.

Can I add more storage for music/videos later?
No, you cannot upgrade your iPad with extra storage. Also if you buy an iPad without 3G you cannot upgrade it to 3G later on.

What operating system does the iPad run on?
Windows XP! No of course not. The iPad runs on iPhone OS 3.2.

If I buy a WiFi-only iPad in the UK, can I use it abroad?
Yes, there is no geographic restriction on using the iPad as long as you have internet access. However, the iTunes Store, App Store and iBooks Store do come with geographic restrictions.

What wireless capabilities do the iPad have?
The iPads all support 802.11n/g/b WiFi networking. The 3G models additionally support Internet access via 3G cellular data networks, where available.

Is the iPad a phone?
No, the iPad is not a telephone but you can use services such as Skype using VOIP (“Voice-Over-Internet Protocol”) on the iPads 3G network.

What can I do with an iPad?
The sky is the limit! A better question to ask is; what can’t I do with an iPad? Well you cannot make ‘normal’ phone calls. You cannot do multiple tasks as the iPad is designed to focus on one task at a time. You cannot plug an USB connection into the iPad but you can get iPad compatible docking adapters.

I was at the apple store yesterday and I was looking at the new apple ipad and in the photo gallery it has sample pics to show the features of the ipad and its touch interface. So my question is what camera takes those pics because the they are amazinggggg! Lol thanks

Hi, how much will the ipad cost in Australia when it comes out ( or around abouts ) I worked out if it’s the same price as in the us it should be about $550 or are apple just gonna rip us Aussies off??
